A Working Mom and Scrapaholic

Well, it has been almost 4 months since my last post.  Wow..how time flies!  My maternity leave is now over and I have been back to work full-time now since the middle of March.  I find I'm enjoying being back at work more than I thought I would, but I'm not able to scrapbook nearly as much as I'd like to.

I was able to get away in May to attend the Burnaby Crop and Create!  This was a fun weekend away with my Mom.  The classes were fantastic and the prizes were awesome!  I found the event a bit pricier than most crops I go to, but the classes and instructors were great.  I took a mixed media class with Vicki Boutin and made an art canvas using stamps that we created in class.  It was a lot of fun and I love the finished product!!

Vicki was probably one of the funniest teachers I've ever had.  If you ever get a chance to take one of her classes - go for it!

While I was at the crop I got to finish a cute little mini album using October Afternoon Sasparilla. Product Link.  It is so stinkin' cute!  I just love it.  Here are some of my favourite pages:

Another huge accomplishment for me is that I have FINALLY finished the digital scrapbook that I've been working on with Shutterfly.  I've been plugging away on it (off and on) for a year and am so happy that it is done.  It turned out so fantastic!  Shutterfy's rates are really reasonable and the quality is fantastic!  Again, here are some of my favourite pages (was hard to get decent shots of these pages):

My next scrapbooking adventure will be in November.  I'm going to the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention and can't wait!  This will be my third time attending!  Yahoo!

On a totally unrelated note, I have recently taken up running and am, surprisingly, enjoying it!  I will be running my first 5K in September!  Yay me! :)
